Film-to-Video Transfer - All film transferred is charged at a per-foot rate with no minimum charge per order other than 50ft for R-8mm and S-8mm, and 100ft for 16mm. These are the smallest reel sizes for each film format. A reel roughly 3 inches in diameter = 50ft, a reel 5 inches in diameter = 200ft, a reel 7 inches in diameter = 400ft. MAXIMUM REEL SIZE for 8/S8mm transfer = 400ft, for 16mm transfer = 2000ft (15 in. reel).
R-8mm,S-8mm, 16mm per foot = $.10 (reversal) and $.15 (negative), plus cost of transfer media ($2 per DVD, $5 per DV tape, $2 per VHS tape). New unopened tapes and new DVD blanks can be submitted with order to eliminate transfer media costs. Please indicate frames-per-second (FPS) of film footage, if known.
Sound films shot at 24fps with a magnetic sound track can be transferred with sound for an additional charge of $.10 per foot. This requires a separate synchronous transfer of the soundtrack and computer syncing to provide a sound video copy of your film. This service is available for both S-8mm and 16mm. 16mm sound track can be optical as well as magnetic.
DV and VHS tape to DVD transfer = $20 (price includes media).
Film production / Editing Services = quoted per job. A typical simple edit to remove flash footage from beginning and end of reels, poor footage etc, to combine multiple reels and to include fade-in at beginning and fade-out at the end of the film can be very reasonable and adds greatly to the enjoyment by those viewing. Titles can be added for a more professional appearance. All levels of film production can be accommodated based on your budget.
Shipping is free for orders 400ft or more. If total footage is less than 400ft shipping is a flat $5.
